I'm a native Italian who moved to the Pacific Northwest in 2020, and I now teach Italian to learners online from all over the world. I have a bachelor's degree in communication from the University of Milan and a master's in copywriting from Accademia di Comunicazione in Milan.
I love sharing Italian language and culture -- food, film, and travel -- with the world. My passion for Italy runs deep: from its rich history and timeless art to its traditions, landscapes, and everyday life. We do not use third-party trackers like Google Analytics.

To Respond to You: We use the name, email, and message you provide only to respond to your inquiry. We do not use this information for marketing or newsletters.
To Maintain Our Site: We use automated technical data to protect our site from spam, analyze traffic trends, and ensure the website is working correctly.

Email Submissions: Your contact form submissions are sent to our email inbox, which is managed and protected by Google (Gmail). Your data is processed by Google as our email provider for the sole purpose of delivering and storing that email.
Analytics Data: Anonymous technical data is processed by our web host and Cloudflare for security and performance analysis.

We will only keep your personal information (name, email, message) for as long as it is necessary to fulfill the purpose for which it was collected (i.e., to respond to your inquiry and resolve the conversation).

Welcome to Pronto Italian! These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the website https://www.prontoitalian.com/ ("Site") and the online Italian language services provided by Gloria ("we," "us," or "our").
By accessing the Site, scheduling a lesson, or using our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use our Site or services.
1. Services
We provide personalized online Italian language lessons, a placement test, and related educational materials ("Services"). The online placement test is designed to provide a provisional estimate of your Italian language proficiency level. This result is for informational and placement purposes only and does not constitute a formal or official certification of language ability.
2. Lesson Booking and Payments
- Booking: Lessons must be scheduled and booked in advance through the contact methods provided on our Site.
- Payment: Payment for all lessons and lesson packages is due at the time of booking. All prices are listed in USD unless otherwise specified.
3. Cancellation, Rescheduling, and Refund Policy
We understand that schedules can change. Our policy is designed to be fair to both students and our instructor.
- Cancellation/Rescheduling by Student: To cancel or reschedule a lesson without penalty, students must provide at least 48 hours' advance notice. If notice is given less than 48 hours before the scheduled time, the lesson will be considered forfeited and charged in full.
- "No-Show" Policy: If a student does not attend a scheduled lesson without any prior notice, the lesson will be considered a "no-show" and will be forfeited and charged in full.
- Cancellation by Teacher: In the rare event that we must cancel a scheduled lesson, we will notify the student as soon as possible. The lesson will be rescheduled at a mutually convenient time at no additional cost to the student, or a full credit for that lesson will be provided.
- Refunds for Packages: Unused lessons in a package are valid for one year from the date of purchase. After one year, any remaining lesson credits expire and are non-refundable.
4. User Conduct
All students are expected to conduct themselves in a respectful and appropriate manner during lessons. We reserve the right to terminate any lesson and refuse future services to any user who engages in abusive, disrespectful, or otherwise inappropriate behavior, without a refund.
5. Intellectual Property
All content on this Site, including the placement test, text, graphics, logos, and lesson materials provided to you, is the exclusive property of Pronto Italian. You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from our content without our express written permission.
6. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability
The Services are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. While we strive to provide a high-quality learning experience, we make no warranties regarding the outcomes of your language learning. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Pronto Italian shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages resulting from your use of the Site or Services.
7. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed and construed in accordance with the laws of British Columbia, Canada, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
